About Josh!
Josh Lill is a professional soccer play-by-play announcer for USL League One and MLS NEXT Pro. Based out of Dania Beach, FL., Lill calls games remotely off a monitor and provides an exhilarating soccer experience for fans.
Lill is a Chicago native and alumnus of Notre Dame College Prep in Niles, IL. He is also a recent graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where he received his Bachelor of Journalism in May 2024. Specialties include a double major in broadcasting and sports media communications, with a minor in music technology.
At UNL, Lill served as a play-by-play announcer for various school sports on 90.3 KRNU (Nebraska's student radio station) and Big Ten Plus. Additional work on the microphone included acting as a public address announcer for the Nebraska men's and women's tennis programs and sideline reporting for high school football and basketball for News Channel Nebraska.
Lill was also involved in television and radio production. He served as a parabolic operator, runner and scorebug operator for various college baseball, basketball, football and volleyball games on Big Ten Network, ESPN, FOX Sports and Nebraska Public Media. Radio production experience was created working on 93.7 The Ticket's "Early Break with Jake Sorensen, Steve Sipple and Bill Busch." On-air appearances were made on "The Drive with Raff, AD and Ahman Green."
As of October, Lill is a middle school and high school basketball official for the Florida High School Athletic Association. As an Eagle Scout, Lill is a drummer, bassist and singer with experience in multiple bands.
